Data Export Formats
Quick Summary
ResponseIQ supports exporting your account data in JSON format. This export includes your user profile, connected locations, review history, AI-generated responses, and account settings. This article describes the export process and what is included in the export file.
Requesting a Data Export
You can request a full export of your data at any time from your account settings. The export is generated as a JSON file that contains all of your account data in a structured, machine-readable format. This is useful for data portability, backup purposes, compliance requirements, or integration with other tools in your technology stack.
- Navigate to Settings and then Account.
- Scroll to the Data Management section.
- Click 'Export My Data'.
- The system will prepare your export — this may take a few minutes for large accounts.
- Once ready, a download link will be sent to your registered email address.
- Click the download link to save the JSON file to your device.
Note
Export download links expire after 48 hours for security reasons. If you miss the window, simply request a new export from your settings.
What Is Included in the Export
The export file is a comprehensive snapshot of your account data at the time of export. It is organized into clearly labeled sections.
| Data Section | Contents | Details |
|---|---|---|
| User Profile | Account holder information | Name, email, account creation date, subscription plan, team role |
| Locations | Connected Google Business Profile locations | Location name, Google Place ID, address, connection status, AI settings per location |
| Reviews | All synced reviews | Reviewer name, star rating, review text, date posted, response status |
| AI Responses | Generated and published responses | Response text, generation date, publish date, whether it was edited before publishing |
| Settings | Account and AI configuration | Notification preferences, auto-publish rules, tone settings, custom instructions |
JSON Export Structure
The exported JSON file follows a consistent structure that makes it easy to parse programmatically. At the top level, the file contains objects for each data section. Reviews and responses are organized by location, with each review containing its associated AI response as a nested object.
All dates in the export use ISO 8601 format (e.g., 2025-09-15T14:30:00Z). Star ratings are integers from 1 to 5. Boolean fields use true/false values. Text fields preserve their original formatting, including line breaks in review text and responses.
Pro Tip
If you want to analyze your review data in a spreadsheet, you can use any JSON-to-CSV conversion tool to transform the reviews section into a tabular format. Many free online tools and programming libraries handle this conversion.
