How to Delete Your Account

Deleting your ResponseIQ account is a permanent action that removes all of your data from our systems. Because of the severity of this action, the process includes multiple confirmation steps to prevent accidental deletion.

1. Navigate to Settings from the sidebar menu in your dashboard.
2. Click on the Account tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Delete Account" button.
4. Enter your account password in the confirmation dialog.
5. Type the word DELETE in the text field to confirm your intent.
6. Click "Confirm Deletion" to begin the 30-day deletion countdown.

The 30-Day Grace Period

Once you confirm account deletion, a 30-day grace period begins. During this period, your account is marked for deletion but your data is not yet removed. This grace period exists to protect you from accidental or impulsive deletions.

During the grace period, the following applies:

• You can still log in to your account, but all features are disabled. You will see a banner indicating the account is scheduled for deletion.
• No new reviews will be synced and no AI responses will be generated.
• Your subscription billing is paused immediately. You will not be charged during the grace period.
• Team members will be notified by email that the account is scheduled for deletion.
• You can export your data during the grace period if you have not done so already.

Canceling Account Deletion

If you change your mind during the 30-day grace period, you can cancel the deletion and fully restore your account.

1. Log in to your ResponseIQ account.
2. You will see a banner at the top of the dashboard indicating your account is scheduled for deletion.
3. Click the "Cancel Deletion" button in the banner.
4. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
5. Your account will be immediately restored to full functionality, and your subscription billing will resume.

What Happens After 30 Days

After the 30-day grace period expires without cancellation, the permanent deletion process begins automatically. The following data is irreversibly removed from all of our systems, including backups:

• Your account profile and login credentials.
• All connected Google Business Profile locations and their configurations.
• All synced reviews and their associated AI-generated responses.
• All account settings, including AI configuration and notification preferences.
• All team member associations and role assignments.
• All activity logs and usage history.
• All billing records beyond what is legally required for tax purposes.

Effect on Published Responses

Deleting your ResponseIQ account does not remove responses that have already been published to Google. Once a response is posted to your Google Business Profile, it exists on Google's platform independently of ResponseIQ. If you want to remove published responses, you will need to do so directly through Google Business Profile before or after deleting your ResponseIQ account.
