Exporting Your Data

Last updated: 2026-02-19·3 min read

Quick Summary

ResponseIQ allows you to export all of your account data at any time directly from the Settings page. The export includes your reviews, AI-generated responses, account settings, team members, and location configurations, all packaged in a structured JSON file.

How to Export Your Data

Exporting your data from ResponseIQ is straightforward and can be completed entirely from your dashboard. The export process compiles all data associated with your account into a single downloadable file.

  1. Log in to your ResponseIQ dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings from the sidebar menu.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab.
  4. Click the "Export All Data" button.
  5. Confirm the export when prompted. A progress indicator will appear while your data is being compiled.
  6. Once the export is ready, a download link will appear on screen and will also be sent to your registered email address.
  7. Click the download link to save the JSON file to your computer.

Note

Export links remain active for 7 days after generation. If you need to download the file again after the link expires, simply initiate a new export.

What Is Included in the Export

The data export is comprehensive and includes every piece of information associated with your account. Here is what each section of the export contains:

SectionContents
Account profileYour name, email, company name, account creation date, and subscription plan.
LocationsAll connected Google Business Profile locations, including names, addresses, place IDs, and configuration settings.
ReviewsEvery review synced to your account, including reviewer name, star rating, review text, timestamp, and current status.
AI responsesAll generated responses for each review, including drafts, edited versions, and the final published version.
SettingsYour AI configuration (tone, length, language, custom instructions), notification preferences, and team settings.
Team membersNames, emails, roles, and invitation dates of all team members on your account.
Activity logA history of key actions taken on your account such as reviews approved, responses published, and settings changed.

Export File Format

All exports are delivered in JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) format. JSON is a widely used, human-readable data format that can be opened in any text editor and parsed by virtually any programming language or data tool.

The JSON file is structured with top-level keys for each data category (account, locations, reviews, responses, settings, team, activity). Each category contains an array of records with clearly labeled fields. Timestamps are in ISO 8601 format and all text is encoded in UTF-8.

Pro Tip

If you need to view the JSON file in a more readable format, you can use free online tools like JSON Formatter or open the file in a code editor like VS Code, which will automatically apply syntax highlighting and formatting.

Export Limitations

There are a few things to keep in mind about the data export feature:

  • You can request one export at a time. If an export is already being generated, you will need to wait for it to complete before starting another.
  • Very large accounts with tens of thousands of reviews may take several minutes to compile. You will receive an email notification when the export is ready.
  • The export does not include your password (which is stored only as an irreversible hash) or your payment card details (which are stored by Stripe, not ResponseIQ).
  • Exported data reflects the state of your account at the moment the export was initiated. Changes made after initiating the export will not be included.
