Review Response Quotas
Quick Summary
Each ResponseIQ location has a monthly AI response quota that determines how many reviews can receive AI-generated responses. The Basic plan includes 100 responses per month and the Premium plan includes 300. Understanding how quotas work helps you manage your usage and avoid running out mid-month.
Quota Allotments by Plan
Your monthly quota depends on which plan is assigned to each location. Quotas are tracked independently per location — one location's usage does not affect another's.

Note
A "response" is counted when the AI generates a draft reply for a new review. Editing, approving, or publishing a response does not count as an additional use. Each review only ever uses one quota unit.
Monthly Quota Reset
Your quota resets on the first day of each billing cycle, which is based on the date you subscribed. For example, if you subscribed on March 10th, your quota resets on the 10th of each month. Unused responses from the previous month do not roll over — each cycle starts fresh.
You can see your exact reset date on the dashboard quota bar and in Settings > Billing.
Quota Warning Thresholds
ResponseIQ proactively notifies you as your quota usage increases, so you are never caught off guard. Warning notifications are sent at three thresholds:

When you reach 100% of your quota, a final notification is sent confirming that no more AI responses will be generated until the quota resets or you purchase additional responses.
Purchasing Additional Response Packs
If you exhaust your monthly quota before the reset date, you can purchase additional response packs to keep AI generation active. Response packs are one-time purchases that add to your current quota immediately.
- Navigate to Settings > Billing.
- Click "Purchase Additional Responses" next to the location that needs more quota.
- Select a response pack size — packs are available in increments of 50 additional responses.
- Confirm the purchase. The additional responses are added to your quota instantly.
- The dashboard quota bar updates to reflect the increased allotment.
Pro Tip
If you consistently run out of quota before the month ends, consider upgrading from Basic (100 responses) to Premium (300 responses). The per-response cost is significantly lower on the Premium plan compared to buying additional packs.
What Happens When Quota Is Exhausted
When a location's quota reaches zero, the following occurs:
- Review syncing continues normally — new reviews are still imported from Google every 15 minutes.
- AI response generation stops — new reviews will not receive AI-drafted responses.
- Existing pending responses are unaffected — you can still approve and publish any responses that were generated before the quota ran out.
- The dashboard displays a clear "Quota Exhausted" banner for the affected location.
- You receive an email notification about the exhausted quota with options to purchase more or upgrade.
Important
Reviews that arrive while your quota is exhausted will not retroactively receive AI responses when your quota resets or is replenished. Only reviews synced after quota becomes available will get AI-generated responses.
