What Are AI Insights?
Quick Summary
AI Insights is a feature that analyzes the patterns and themes across all of your Google reviews to identify your business's strengths, weaknesses, and emerging trends. Instead of reading every review individually, Insights gives you an actionable summary of what customers are saying and what you can do about it.
Overview of AI Insights
AI Insights goes beyond individual review responses. While ResponseIQ replies to each review one at a time, Insights looks at all your reviews together to find the bigger picture. It identifies recurring themes, tracks sentiment over time, and generates specific recommendations for improving your business based on real customer feedback.
What Insights Include
Each Insights report is generated per location and contains several key sections:
- Strengths: The top things customers love about your business, with mention counts and example quotes.
- Improvement Areas: Issues customers have raised, ranked by severity (High, Medium, Low), with suggestions for how to address them.
- Quick Wins: Actionable items you can implement immediately for fast improvements.
- Keyword Tags: Frequently mentioned terms and phrases extracted from your reviews.
- Trend Indicators: Whether sentiment around specific themes is improving or declining over time.
Who Can Access Insights
AI Insights is available on both the Basic and Premium plans. All team members with access to a location can view that location's insights. Only Admins and Managers can trigger a manual regeneration of insights.
Note
Insights require a minimum of 10 reviews for a location before they can be generated. This ensures there is enough data for the AI to identify meaningful patterns rather than drawing conclusions from too small a sample.
Accessing Your Insights
- Select the location you want to view from the location switcher.
- Click on "Insights" in the left sidebar navigation.
- Your most recent insights report will be displayed with all sections.
- Scroll through Strengths, Improvement Areas, and Quick Wins tabs.
How Insights Differ from Analytics
The Analytics page shows you quantitative data: review counts, average ratings, response rates, and trends over time. Insights, on the other hand, provides qualitative analysis: what customers are actually saying, what themes emerge, and what actions you should take. Together, Analytics and Insights give you a complete picture of your review performance.
