Email Notification Types

ResponseIQ offers eight distinct notification types. Each serves a different purpose and can be enabled or disabled independently in your notification preferences.

| Team Invites | A team invitation is sent to your email address. | The name of the person who invited you, the account or location name, and a link to accept the invitation. |

Configurable vs. System Notifications
Most notification types can be toggled on or off in your settings. However, some notifications are system-level and cannot be disabled because they are essential for account security and functionality.
- Configurable: New Review Alerts, Low Rating Alerts, Response Published, Daily Reports, Monthly Reports, and Review Reminders.
- System (always on): Team Invites and Password Reset emails. These are sent regardless of your notification preferences because they require your immediate action.
Note
System notifications are sent infrequently and only when specific account actions occur. You will not receive team invite emails unless someone actively invites you, and password reset emails are only sent when a reset is explicitly requested.
Notification Delivery
All notifications are delivered via email to the address associated with your ResponseIQ account. There is no in-app notification center at this time. Emails are sent from a verified ResponseIQ email address, so check your spam folder if you are not receiving expected notifications.
Pro Tip
Add the ResponseIQ sender address to your email contacts or safe sender list. This helps prevent notification emails from being filtered into spam, especially for email providers with aggressive spam filtering.
Notification Volume by Type
The number of notification emails you receive depends on which types are enabled and your review volume:
- New Review Alerts: One email per new review. High-volume businesses may receive dozens per day.
- Low Rating Alerts: One email per low-rated review. Typically less frequent than new review alerts.
- Response Published: One email per published response. Matches the frequency of new reviews if auto-reply is enabled.
- Daily Reports: One email per day, always.
- Monthly Reports: One email per month, always.
- Review Reminders: Up to two emails per day, only on days when pending reviews exist.
