Review Reminder Settings
Quick Summary
Review reminders are automated email notifications sent twice daily to alert you when pending reviews need attention. They are delivered at 9 AM and 5 PM in your configured timezone and are only sent when you have reviews that have not yet been responded to.
How Review Reminders Work
ResponseIQ checks for pending reviews at two scheduled times each day: 9 AM and 5 PM in your local timezone. If any reviews are waiting for a response at those times, you will receive a reminder email. If all reviews have been addressed, no email is sent. This ensures you are never bothered with unnecessary notifications.
Note
Reminders are based on your account's timezone setting. If your timezone is set to US/Eastern, reminders arrive at 9 AM and 5 PM Eastern Time. You can change your timezone in the Settings page.
What Reminder Emails Contain
Each reminder email provides a concise summary of your pending review situation so you can quickly assess how much attention is needed:
- The total number of pending reviews across all your connected locations.
- A breakdown by location, showing how many pending reviews each location has.
- The star rating and a preview of the review text for each pending review.
- A direct link to the ResponseIQ dashboard where you can review and respond.
- How long each review has been waiting for a response, helping you prioritize older reviews.
Pro Tip
Use the 9 AM reminder to plan your review response work for the day, and the 5 PM reminder as a final check before ending your workday. This ensures no reviews are left unaddressed overnight.
Enabling and Disabling Reminders
- Navigate to Settings from the left sidebar.
- Scroll to the "Notification Preferences" section.
- Find the "Review Reminders" toggle.
- Switch it on to receive reminders, or off to stop receiving them.
- Click Save to apply your change.
When reminders are disabled, you will not receive any reminder emails regardless of how many pending reviews you have. All other notification types (such as new review alerts or daily reports) are controlled by their own toggles and are not affected by the reminders setting.
When Reminders Are Most Useful
Review reminders are especially valuable in the following situations:
- You use manual publishing and need a nudge to review and approve AI-generated responses.
- You have disabled auto-reply for certain star ratings and want to be reminded to respond to those reviews personally.
- You manage a team and want to ensure no reviews fall through the cracks during busy periods.
- Your business has irregular hours and you cannot check the dashboard at consistent times throughout the day.
Important
If you rely entirely on auto-reply with auto-publish, you may find reminders unnecessary. However, keeping them enabled is recommended as a safety net to catch any reviews that might not be auto-responded to due to configuration gaps or technical issues.
